Carmen Morais, Children’s Media Developer

Carmen Morais is an award-winning content creator of digital and print media for children and tweens (ages 9-12).  She is an experienced writer and editor and served as Deputy Editor of Nickelodeon Magazine, a best-selling general interest and humor magazine for kids 8-14. The Association of Educational Publishers recognized Carmen eight times with Distinguished Achievement Awards. She also helped translate the magazine’s brand into a website, web apps, a TV special and international editions. She is an expert researcher and innovator, having developed numerous successful projects focused on the “reluctant reader.” Carmen is co-creator of the iPad app “Comixer,” a storytelling game that enables users to create comics. She is eager to develop more iPad apps for children.
